Artwork, Classes, Workshops, Pop-Up Galleries

I was born and raised in Yorkshire, England. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to go to art college and follow an artistic path. I studied Spatial Design that focused on creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces followed by Museum & Exhibition Design.  Art college gave me the opportunity to spend some time at the BBC doing work experience within their art & design department. 

In 1991, I met my husband Patrick in Germany and later moved to the USA. When our children were small I painted murals and created fun, bright environments in homes and businesses. 

I’m passionate about teaching and passing on my love of art. In 2012, I was hired as a Paint & Sip instructor at a studio in Texas. This was such a fun experience that I later owned a similar studio in Calvert County, Maryland. Since moving here to Williamsburg, Virginia I have been teaching all ages from my home studio and kindergartners at a private school. My Art with Jane business keeps expanding. I offer private classes, paint parties, workshops and mindful art. My creative mind is constantly inspired and often by the young artists I work with. 

ARTea combines my love of art and my love of tea. I paint with tea & coffee as well as incorporating teabags and coffee beans.  I am currently working on bringing pop-up galleries showcasing my creations to local coffee and tea shops in the Williamsburg area.
